زمانی که تصمیم گرفتم برای آموزش نقاشی و زبان انگلیسی به کودکان جزیره هرمز برای چندین ماه را در آنجا ساکن شوم، تصورش را هم نمی کردم که این پروژه بتواند دید من را به این اندازه تغییر دهد. برای من این پروژه نه صرفا به عنوان یک معلم بلکه بیشتر به عنوان یک هنرمند دارای اهمیت بود. بچه های جزیره هرمز در فضایی متفاوت از شهری که من در ان زندگی می کنم، قرار دارند. فضای جزیره و تنگه هرمز دارای خشونتی پنهان است. کوچه های هرمز تاریک و تنگ هستند، خاکی و پر از زباله. در اکثر خانواده ها کم کم یک نفر معتاد به مواد مخدر وجود دارد. هر روز تعداد زیادی کشتی بزرگ را می بینید که در تنگه هرمز منتظر اجازه عبور از آبراهی هستند که شاهرگ نفت دنیا است. چندین بار شاهد عبور سریع قایق ها و تندروهای گشت دریایی بودم که در بین این نفت کش ها و کشتی های عظیم باربری در حال گشت زنی بودند. در همچین فضایی صلح چه معنی متفاوتی می تواند داشته باشد!
به نظر من صلح یاد دادنی است، صلح یک فرهنگ است. فرهنگ صلح را می¬توان آموزش داد از همان کودکی، مانند هر آموزش دیگری که شما می توانید به کودکان بدهید. یاد دادن زبان انگلیسی به همراه نقاشی به کودکان این جزیره صرفا جهت یک دوره آموزشی نبود. یادگیری یک زبان دیگر غیر از زبان مادری، پنجره جدیدی به دنیایی متفاوت برای این کودکان باز می کند و در این میان نقاشی و بروز آنچه که در ذهن های این کودکان می گذرد، راهی است برای پروراندن انسان های صلح طلب. بی دلیل نیست که گروه های تروریستی، از کودکی به بچه ها تروریست بودن را یاد میدهند! پس می بایست صلح را نیز از همان کودکی به بچه ها اموخت.
این فیلم نتیجه 5 ماه تلاش در جهت آموزش فرهنگ، هنر و زبان به کودکان 6 تا 13 ساله در جزیره هرمز است.
When I decided to go to Hormuz Island for teaching English and Painting for several months, I didn’t imagine that this project can change my vision so vast. For me, this project was important not only as a teacher but as an artist. The children of Hormuz are living in a very different atmosphere from where that I live. The atmosphere of island and the Strait of Hormuz has a hidden violence. Hormuz alleys are dark and narrow, dusty and full of garbage. In most families there is at least a person addicted to drugs. Every day you see a lot of big ships waiting to cross the Strait of Hormuz, the waterway that is the lifeblood of the world's oil. Several times, I witnessed rapid passage of boats and maritime patrol that were patrolling between massive oil tankers and cargo ships. In such an atmosphere, peace have a different meaning!
I think, Peace is teachable, Peace is a culture. The culture of peace can be taught from childhood, like any other training that you can give to children. Teaching English with Painting to children of Hormuz was not just for a training course. Learning a language except native language, can open a new window to a different world to these children and the painting as a way that show us what is going on their minds of these children, is a great way to raising human of peace. No wonder that the terrorist groups teach being a terrorist from childhood to children. So, Peace should be taught from childhood.
This film is the result of five months of trying to teach culture, art and English language to children between 6 to 13 years in Hormuz island.
